LO2: Script

Script

Police 1: “The subject has killed 3 people so far, damn it this is getting out of hand!”

*Drops a pile of paper onto a desk*

Police 2: “All of victims have had some relation with the subject”

Police 1: “What kind of links are we looking at here? Friends? Family?”

*Police 2 shakes his head*

Police 2: “No, look at this. The killer has been implementing the use of home items as weapons. Makes them almost impossible to trace. However it does tell us about how he works”.

Police 1: “Meaning?”

Police 2: “Meaning he kills closer to home than he should.”

*Look at each other*

Detective 1: “Here’s some key evidence from the scene”

*Presents the glass in a bag*

Police 1:  “right we can work with this”

Detective 1: “Subject 1 male 20 years of age 178cm Caucasian brown hair, stabbed with improvised bladed tool, possibly glass shard, currently unidentified.”

“Subject 2 male, 19 190cm Caucasian brown hair, viciously strangled to death, likely that he bleed to death rather than lack of oxygen.”

“Subject 3 Caucasian male 188cm blonde, spine completely severed from base of the skull, heavy impact damage. Hard to believe it but the autopsy indicated he used his bare hands.”

“Final subject, female 18 Caucasian 167cm tall, blonde except this time her head was completely caved in, indicating that the killer used a blunt tool, possibly a metal instrument of some kind.”

Police 1: “Looking at the evidence our prime subject has to be” ‘characters Name’, “having a relation with the women killed in the crash nearly 2 months ago.”

LO2: Certification

This is a trailer rating which would be 15. As there is only implied killing, minimal blood and no swearing or sexual content. Therefore this trailer would be 15.

To pass for an 18 rated film it would need to have the following:
  • very strong violence
  •   frequent strong language (e.g. 'f***') and / or very strong language (e.g. ‘c***’)
  •   strong portrayals of sexual activity
  •   scenes of sexual violence
  •   strong horror
  •   strong blood and gore
  •   real sex (in some circumstances)
  •   discriminatory language and behavior

LO2: Feed back

I think that the feedback we got from the rushes is good but there are still somethings that we can work on. most of the questions got a positive reply but question 3 showed that the audience watching the trailer are having trouble following. I think that we could improve by adding features that would make it easy to follow the footage, we could add text to give the audince clues or hints to what is happening.
